Gi-ant Squid! Gi-ant Squid!
Inside Nature's Giants is back! Woo Hoo!
I've been sick all week with a summer cold, and still trying to work, and not particularly succeeding (more on that below). Imagine my surprise and joy to discover that tonight I can lie on the couch and learn something with no effort at all. Normally I wait and watch those with my son, but he's off at Disneyworld, so forget him. I need some cephalopod medicine.
(Hmm.... googling "cephalopodcast" led me to this, which is apparently defunct, but the author has not let go of the pun, and is still tweeting under that name. According to the feed, that pun independently arises in the minds of lots of people. And, painfully, though the Cephalopodcast Facebook page hasn't been updated in six months, it still has more likes than ours. Waaaa!)
I'm working on a couple of things around my online class. First priority is our entry for NESCent's Evolution Video Contest, which is due next week. The other is a curriculum guide for this science fiction anthology. That's coming along nicely, and hopefully we'll do a three-way interview with my collaborator and the publisher in a few weeks.
